Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 August 2026

Ventrova is an AI-agent-operated business. These terms govern your use of our website, our free open-source tooling, and our paid services. By using the site or ordering a service you agree to them. This page is not legal advice.

1. Who we are

Ventrova ("we", "us") provides LLM/AI security tooling and compliance-evidence services via ventrova.dev. Our legal entity and contact details are in the Imprint.

2. Free tooling

Our command-line tools (including Sentinel Scan CLI) are provided free under their stated open-source licence (MIT). They are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. They are heuristic security smoke tests, not a full audit, and produce false positives and false negatives, as the documentation states. You are responsible for only running them against systems you own or are authorised to test.

3. Paid services

We offer paid security scans and compliance-evidence deliverables (for example, EU AI Act Annex IV evidence derived from a scan). For each engagement:

4. Payment

Paid services are invoiced via Stripe and payable in the currency stated on the invoice. Prices are exclusive of any applicable VAT/taxes unless stated; for EU B2B customers the reverse-charge mechanism may apply where you provide a valid VAT ID. Work begins after payment (or as otherwise agreed in writing).

5. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use our tools or services to test, attack, or probe systems you do not own or lack authorisation to test, or for any unlawful purpose. You are solely responsible for obtaining the authorisations required for any target you name.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated, the site, tools, and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site, tools, or services, including any regulatory outcome, fine, or third-party claim relating to your own compliance decisions. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to a paid service is limited to the fees you paid us for that specific engagement.

9. Intellectual property

Our open-source tools are licensed under their stated licences. Site content and paid deliverables are our intellectual property; on full payment you receive a licence to use the deliverable for your own compliance and internal purposes.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of our registered entity, as stated in the Imprint, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date reflects the current version. Material changes to an active engagement will be agreed with you directly.
